Iran is willing to restart atomic discussions with Washington provided that it is treated with "respect" and "honor", Tehran's top diplomat has stated.

Abbas Araghchi declared exclusively dialogue was effective, and disclosed new appeals had originated from go-betweens to resume negotiations with the Trump administration. He said Iran did not have undeclared nuclear sites, and Tehran was not yet able to allow the International Atomic Energy Agency to visit attacked atomic facilities for safety concerns.

Navigating a Challenging Course

Araghchi is treading a complex course since Iran wishes not to appear to be acting from a stance of vulnerability, and he consistently maintained that Iran had come out more resilient defensively and psychologically from the joint assault on its enrichment centers in June.

He was addressing at a security conference in Tehran where he reiterated that Iran had "a fundamental entitlement to process nuclear material within its borders that it will always maintain" – the key factor of the stalemate in the earlier negotiations.

Earlier Talks Unexpectedly Concluded

The earlier sessions of discussions between the United States and Iran were brought to an abrupt and acrimonious termination on 12 June when Israel, with US support, struck Iranian nuclear sites in a two-week conflict that culminated with the US president declaring the sites had been obliterated. Afterward, European countries used their right to restore international penalties, but Iran insists they have not had a major impact.

Magic Solution Offered

Iran's diplomats said they felt they had attained a "perfect agreement" to the enrichment issue in earlier negotiations, when it was decided an local partnership with American involvement could refine atomic fuel. The two nations would have been able to declare success since home-based processing would have persisted and the US could be confident that Iran's atomic project was exclusively peaceful.

It had not been agreed in the negotiations that Washington's technical specialists could function inside Iran, but that was a natural consequence of the partnership suggestion. Representatives claimed on multiple occasions they had reached agreement with Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff only for the agreement to disintegrate due to "detractors in America".

Current Status

Tehran representatives stated the partnership proposal was now off the table, but it seems quite possible the proposal could be reintroduced in various formats if negotiations restart.

The American leader in recent days said he had been obtaining communications that Iran desired to resume discussions, but confidentially Iran's diplomats say they are not yet getting consistent overtures from Washington either directly or from key regional mediators, such as the Qatari government, Egypt, the Omani authorities and the Saudi kingdom. The Iranian foreign ministry has been criticized of passivity in the aftermath of the US president's straightforward manner, but Tehran states diplomacy is not part of a spectacle.

In his remarks to the gathering, designed to paint the US as a controlling nation that misuses the idea of global regulations, the foreign minister said the 12-day war showed the dispute could not be resolved by military means. He said the attacks began with a Washington's ultimatum for an unconditional Iranian surrender and ended with an absolute demand for a ceasefire.

Iran is convinced the initial Israeli attacks were carried out with complete American awareness and collaboration, making trust hard to reestablish.

Negotiations Remains the Primary Solution

Araghchi declared: "It was not Iran that had deserted diplomacy; it was America and the Western nations that had repeatedly sought to impose their will during the negotiations. Dialogue can still be active and stays the final resolution to settle disputes, but its standards, rules and tenets must be respected."

Recovery and Recovery

In what is described by Tehran representatives as the conflict of recovery and rebuilding, Araghchi stated he was certain Iran's defence capabilities "have significantly improved than prior to 13 or 14 June of this year. He continued: "We managed to survive this conflict. Our enrichment knowledge, which they intended to destroy, remains in place.
